"Exploring new frontiers in an existing gold camp!"
EXTENSIVE PROPERTY IN THE 'NEW' NORTHERN EXTENSION
- Data generated in recent years point to this being the 'missing' extension of the Red Lake Greenstone Belt.
- Previously thought to be the 'wrong' rocks'; new data show this not to be the case.
- Property was optioned to Solitaire Minerals Corp. who spent approximately $1.8 million prior to returning the property to Rubicon in December, 2011.
"Does this zone continue onto Rubicon's claims?"
INCLUDES KEY CLAIMS ADJACENT TO SIDACE MDZ GOLD DISCOVERY
- 50,000 metres of drilling has been conducted at the MDZ (Goldcorp/Planet Explorations Inc.) with results including several ore grade intercepts.
- Rubicon interprets this to be a classic Hemlo style gold setting which means, in essence, a large bulk mineable gold target in a pyritic, sericite schist.
- Previous holes drilled by Rubicon on the Sidace claims adjacent to the MDZ documented the sericite schist (host package) to be present.
- Solitaire conducted line cutting, prospecting, mapping and geophysics in 2011 to identify drill targets.
Due to the Company's focus on developing the Phoenix Gold Project, exploration on this property has been temporarily put on hold. The Company considers this and other Red Lake projects to be of strategic importance for future exploration and plans to carry out compilation programs to identify targets for future exploration programs.
