"Rubicon's exploration model finds new gold showings!"
New Gold Zones Discovered
- Previously interpreted to be in the 'wrong rocks' in government maps and reports, exploration by Rubicon recognized that these were, in fact, highly altered Balmer volcanic rocks. Elsewhere in the Red Lake camp, these rocks host the major gold deposits
- Application of Rubicon's Red Lake model identified new target areas leading to gold being documented in a number of target areas
- 6,560 metre reconnaissance drill program and a second Titan 24 survey completed in 2010 provided valuable geological and structural information to help guide future exploration on this large property.
Due to the Company's focus on developing the Phoenix Gold Project, exploration on this property has been temporarily put on hold. The Company considers this and other Red Lake projects to be of strategic importance for future exploration and plans to carry out compilation programs to identify targets for future exploration programs.
